COURSE INTRODUCTION

For each course, you might think about having only one entry. Separate the different sections of the entry by using a different font as a heading. Above, I made my heading all caps and bold. I will make all headings the same for each section of the course post. For each assignment, or artifact, that you want to share on your eportfolio blog, there are several steps.

Introduce your course. Copy and paste the course objectives. Reference the syllabus in your English 289 Course Docuemnts Links List in the left margin.

WRITING ASSIGNMENT 1 -- RHETORICAL ANALYSIS

First, reference the link to the assignment sheet in the English 289 Course Documents Links List in the left margin. Explain the purpose/goal of the assignment in your own words.

Next, reference the "artifact" (the finished assignment) link in the English 289 Course Documents Links List in the left margin.

Finally, in your own words, you will write a brief reflection, which should include the following:
  • A sentence that summarizes the goals of the assignment
  • A sentence or two which relate what you did and/or learned in this assignment to other things you have learned in this course or in other courses (be specific; use examples)
  • A sentence that explains how you will apply what you have learned

WRITING ASSIGNMENT 2 -- ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY

Repeat this for as many assignments are in the course.

COURSE REFLECTION

This is a lengthy course reflection that makes connections to other courses and future use. Follow prompt from instructor.
